Considering it is the last week of February, there hasn’t been a dull moment here at PJP since…well, forever. (If we do anything well, it is definitely keeping things interesting.) . So here is what you need to know for this week:
Our Leap Day event is scheduled for this Saturday, February 29th. We are making 2,020 tarts and selling them for $2.29 each. The entire point is to have fun and do something memorable since this day comes around only once every four years. Plus, we are a crew of people who fully commit to a theme. I’m 100% here for $2.29 tarts on 2/29/2020.
And in just a few weeks, we will celebrate National Pi(e) Day. I’m working on our marketing plan now, but so far I’ve declared us the Official Sponsor of this increasingly popular event. (And by marketing plan, I mean I have some ideas in my head.) I’m 100% here for the responsibility.
I woke up this morning to an email letting me know we had been chosen by Medium.com as one of the best business Instagram accounts to follow as an example of quality posts over quantity of posts. As as someone who obsesses about whether we post too much or too little, THANK GOODNESS. I’m 100% here for validation from Internet strangers.
PJP is featured in this month’s issue of Rural Missouri magazine. I make it a general rule to never analyze myself in magazines or on television, but there were TEN copies of the magazine delivered to me and basically, I can’t escape my own self. After a solid amount of self-critique, I noticed that the title of the article was super imposed on our tile wall in the photo and now I’m worried that people who have never been to PJP will actually think we put those words on our pricey herringbone tile wall. I’m 100% here to promise you we wouldn’t do that.
And finally, I’ve been invited by Facebook to attend a three-day meeting in Washington, DC in late April. A select group of business owners will have the opportunity to attend trainings and provide feedback on Facebook business tools, plus sneak peek some new functionalities. I’m 100% here for trying out some new things and sharing my thoughts. (Oh, and 100% here for suggesting that Facebook no longer allow people to send chain letters via Messenger. That has nothing to do with businesses, but it does have to do with my sanity, so…)
