Would It Be Weird?

You’ve probably read by now that PJP was named Best Dessert in the Inside Columbia Best of Columbia 2022 contest. And honestly, we couldn’t be more proud or more appreciative to everyone who took time to vote for PJP. We learned that we won a month or so ago, but we were required to keep it under wraps until the party for the category winners on Tuesday evening at The Atrium. Without question, it was a lovely time.

Here’s what else is going on:

  1. We have a busy few days ahead of us before the 4th of July holiday, which is great. We are closed on the 4th and 5th for a little mid-summer break and I know I speak for all of Team PJP when I say that we are all looking forward to a long weekend.

  2. And while we prep for 4th of July, we had 10 large boxes of fall and Christmas merchandise arrive today at PJP Nifong. Our hallway there is just a legitimate nightmare. Deliveries are hit-or-miss at West, so everything for both stores arrives at Nifong until it can be sorted to the proper home.

  3. Of course, we had to move our shipping container because work to our building and back parking lot is slated for this summer. We all had a June 1 deadline, but Hyvee hasn’t moved their multiple storage sheds and it hasn’t escaped my notice.

  4. You know what comes in the mail every few weeks? A full issue of The Milling & Baking News. It astounds me that there is enough news generated every few weeks ton warrant a 25 page magazine every three weeks. Milling and Baking is never want for new developments. Did you know they are going to make Old Bay seasoning Goldfish crackers? There’s a whole article about it in this week’s issue.

  5. You know though, I think I could produce a magazine every few weeks about PJP because it too is never want for interesting items to discuss. Would it be weird to add an Old Bay pie to the July pie tasting?
