Bring Your Own Mixer

Today, our floor mixer died. RIP 2014-2020. She lived a good life and made countless buckets of dough. We cared for her well, and Jeanne even used a razor blade to clean her deepest flour-caked crevices. A small, but crucial, spring broke and the company no longer makes the replacement parts. Sounds right.

Do you know how much a new floor mixer costs? $5,208.60. And that’s for a mid-range model, so clearly instead of making pie dough in mixers, I should be just selling the mixers. Though, for a piece of commercial equipment that is so heavy I can barely scoot it a foot away from the wall, I assumed the average life expectancy to be 15 or 20 years. I mean, wouldn’t you?

Anyway.

Don’t forget we are closed this Saturday, July 4th for the holiday. We do strongly suggest pre-orders for Thursday and Friday pickups…we will stock the store, but will undoubtedly (and thankfully) be busy. If you haven’t seen it yet, we are offering a super cute White Chocolate Strawberry pie decorated like a flag. It’s available by pre-order only in the 9-inch and 12-inch sizes. The creativity of Team PJP always makes me so proud.

And finally, we ordered a ton of these cute PJP stickers that are perfect for water bottles and laptops. I tried to convince the girls that a TikTok zooming in on the stickers while playing Take My Breath Away from “Top Gun” would be fun, but they said I would be wrong. They don’t even want to go see Top Gun 2 with me, so what do they know?
