Jeanne-ology: Fair Enough.

Hi There - it’s Thursday and Jeanne is here with her thoughts on this week. On my way home tonight, I called to tell her a story that was going to irritate the heck out of her AND then I reminded her to blog. Well, then she just had a whole moment about the story I told her and told me she couldn’t blog. Clearly, she rallied. Enjoy!

Hello! Thursday Readers!  Another week has passed and fall will be here before we know it. We are a little excited to decorate the store for the season and to start our busiest time of the year. (Rebecca editing to add: I ordered some beautiful candles in dough bowls to sell in PJP and they all arrived early this week. We stored most of the fall scents in my office and it was nice for an hour or so and then it smelled like living in Hobby Lobby in October.)

This week we have been busy making a lot of pot pies and quiches after we are finished with the dessert pie baking schedule.  It seems we can never catch up and that is a blessing and a good thing for our business. We’ve been working on a Southwestern Chicken pot pie and that has been fun! (Rebecca editing to add: Except we are a team divided about the addition of cilantro to the pot pie. Jeanne HATES cilantro and I feel like she will 100% win this decision.)

Have I mentioned that I gave up wine in the evenings and my one large diet coke during the day?  I quit the week that Rebecca and family left on vacation.  I must say I have more energy than I usually do!  My next goal is to try to lose weight.  I haven't actually made the decision to do so.  That is because a part of me thinks at this age, I should be able to enjoy eating what and when I want.  Then, low and behold, my granddaughter makes a Tik ToK video with me in it and I cannot stand how I look. It has come down to starting a diet or never, ever look at a video when I am in it.  Come to think of it, I have never been photogenic.  Rebecca and my granddaughter take beautiful photos!  My twin sister takes a good picture.  I took after my mother, who never looked good in a photo.  Ever look at models in a commercial and they have their mouth wide open like they are having so much fun and are yelling with joy?  I wonder how long they have to keep their mouths open so the photographer can get the perfect shot.  Geez, if that was me, I would be drooling the entire time.  Wonder if models do also? (Rebecca editing to add: Wow, that’s a lot to unpack. Ironically, I think she is photogenic and that I am not. Go figure.)

Sorry for the rant about photos - some things really bug me.  A bottle of wine sounds pretty good right now. (Rebecca editing to add: Fair enough.)
