Gift Guide

We’ve reached that point between Thanksgiving and Christmas wherein everything feels a bit overwhelming at PJP, so let’s not even talk about it tonight. Rather, here’s a few things that Jeanne and I have fallen in love with this year that might be a hit with those on your holiday shopping list, so consider this a PJP Gift Guide. And as a side note, none of these companies know that we exist and we weren’t gifted any of these items…we just straight up love all this:

  1. Teddie’s Organic Rosehip Seed Oil: This rosehip oil is my ride-or-die face care product and there aren’t words for how much I love it. If I’m ever in a coma, I better wake up to find that Jeanne has been slathering my face twice a day with Teddie’s in adherence to my strict routine. I don’t know how you get oil from a rosehip seed, but I don’t even care because it is the best facial moisturizer ever. And, it’s only $12.99 for a bottle that lasts several months. Rosehip Oil for life.

  2. TruSkin Naturals Vitamin C Serum: While we are discussing how I work to look younger when PJP is demanding all of my time and/or mental energy, let’s talk about Vitamin C serum. I’ve been eyeing Vitamin C with hyaluronic acid since just about every Instagrammer in the would has gotten on the Vitamin C bandwagon. Now, a month in, I UNDERSTAND. Because I have a fair complexion, my under eye circles take on an blue tint when I’m really tired, forcing everyone to say “you look really tired!” This serum has made that go away. Bury me with it.

  3. Kylie Jenner Lip Kit: So, I know this makes me totally basic. And that Kylie is Jenner/Kardashian and probably had nothing to do with whatever goes into creating and developing a lip kit, but WHATEVER. I couldn’t help myself after I heard Ulta started carrying the kits and I can’t help but super like it. You do a full lip liner first and then a matte gloss over it, which is surprisingly long lasting, though not super dry. I have it in Poise, but now have my eye on Hollyberry, Angel, and Show Off. Minus 10 points for lame names, but plus 40 points for long lasting color.

  4. Bombas: You’ve probably heard of these socks by now, as they advertise heavily on podcasts and Instagram. I finally caved after everyone kept mentioning they were the sock to wear if you stand all day. I’ll tell you that they are so great, Jeanne said to me the other day that she put on some other socks because she was out of clean Bombas and “it felt like she had wrapped rags around her feet”. So, there you have it. In full disclosure, they aren’t cheap, but they are totally worth the price. And when you purchase a pair, a pair is donated to someone in need. That’s a win.

  5. Deebot: Behind-The-Scenes Jason loves automating everything at our house, and a robotic vacuum is no exception. I mocked the idea, assuming it could be no match for our shedding labrador retriever, Sparky. (Sometimes, I vacuum enough hair to make two Sparkys…and that’s ok, because he’s the best.) Anyway, Jason purchased a Deebot and now I can’t live without the Deebot (aptly renamed to Furbot at our house). He is set to vacuum the entire main floor of our house every morning at 11. It doesn’t replace my weekly vacuum and mopping plans, but it makes everything feel much more tidy and in control during the week.

So there you have it. Basically, you can win the way to my heart with facial serums, long lasting lip color, and fur free flooring. Sounds about right.
