Love That For Us
Well, for starters, Jeanne appreciates all the birthday wishes shared with her last week. She celebrated by spending it with her twin sister in Poplar Bluff. She left Thursday and returned today, just full of stories. So, she’s back and I’m happy because it always seems off when she isn’t in town and she will tell you the same about me. That’s how co-dependency works.
Here’s what else is going on:
Someone emailed today to let us know that she doesn’t like us. Not our product specifically, but just us as people, though she’s never met any of us in person. So that’s great. LOVE THAT FOR US. I’ll be stewing around on that for the next five years, minimum.
After seven months of marginal hot water supply in the bathroom at PJP West, the issue has been Identified and repaired. It was an issue leftover from our white box build out, so we fortunately didn’t have to pay for the repair. And, we learned that we have a mechanical room at West. We literally never knew.
Over at PJP Nifong, our tomato plant sadly passed away. It was a victim of the painting to the back of the building, despite our best efforts to save it. Literally everything within a five foot swath of the back wall was painted, plants included.
Oh, and for the first time in seven months, I ordered food trucks for both stores…but accidentally sent both trucks to PJP Nifong. So imagine ordering $2,000 worth of groceries for each store and then looking at $4,000 worth of groceries sitting in one store. (Though, with current pricing, that isn’t as many groceries as you would expect.). At any rate, we had to pack all of West’s groceries up in Jason’s truck and take it all over. 0/10 stars. Would not recommend.
On Saturday, we are headed to the International Baking Industry Exposition in Las Vegas. Jeanne has decided to stay here and check in on both stores, primarily because she said she isn’t interested in walking five miles a day at the convention and then deal with us “wanting to go out and walk around at night”. I promise you she will miss us though…
