Jeanne-ology: Most Likely To Be Stubborn

Hi There! I’ve been off the grid. for a few days in Las Vegas to celebrate our son’s high school graduation. Jeanne was the sole captain of the ship and as you might guess, she has a lot to say about it. Enjoy!

Hello Thursday Readers! It has been two weeks since I last wrote the blog. Last Thursday, I completely forgot because Rebecca and her family were leaving on Friday for Las Vegas to celebrate my grandson's graduation. I guess I was so concerned with them being gone and me in charge the next few days. (Rebecca editing to add: She hates when we travel and much prefers when all of her people are on the ground. Preferably on the ground at our house across the road from her house.)

I wish I had remembered to write the m blog because I watched Rebecca and I on Crime Scene Kitchen. I enjoyed all the show. I didn't look as bad as I expected and it was fun to watch. I kept texting Rebecca that she needed to watch, but to no avail. She was adamant that she didn't want to watch. However, Jason and my grandson watched so at least I could have conversation with them on what they thought. We were not on this week, team A was on. Next week, Rebecca and I will be on and it should be a doozy! I plan on introducing a new pie to celebrate the show piece of the Crime Scene episode to celebrate the dessert. (Rebecca editing to add: And I plan to go into hiding. When she says it is a doozy, she means it.)

Rebecca wears so many hats at the pie shop. I was hard for me to take care of everything. I did my best and felt good about my work. Of course, I couldn't have accomplished this without a great staff. On Wednesday, Rebecca & Jason returned! Thank goodness! I was able to leave earlier than I had been and when I got home, I felt extremely tired. I think that once I realized that they were in control, I finally began to relax and didn't realize how tired I actually was! (Rebecca editing to add: She doesn’t need me there in the least…she just thinks she does. Although in last week’s episode, I apparently said that she was killing me and then she would have no one to run PJP with because I would be dead. I stand by that statement.)

Today I took the day off. I mowed the lawn and it felt good to do something that didn't take a lot of thought. Rebecca called me later to ask why I would mow the lawn when it was so hot outside. She was concerned about me overexerting myself and getting overheated. Are you drinking any wine? I said yes and then she lamented how bad that is and that the wine is dehydrating me! Yes, I know! I have been drinking water all afternoon. A glass of wine after a long shower was a treat for me. She asked me not to drink any more wine, and I agreed. You know, I felt fine mowing the yard and I enjoyed my wine. She worries too much! However, it is wonderful to have a daughter that cares so much about her mother. What a blessing! (Rebecca editing to add: Please note that she lives on seven acres and approximately two of that needs to be mowed and now go back and read all that nonsense. She has NO BUSINESS mowing acres of grass when it is 90 degrees. Gah. The Instagram for Fox Television was flooded with comments that we needed our own show after everyone loved her shenanigans last week and how is that going to look if Fox calls and I have to say she has heat exhaustion/sunburn/broken ribs or any other mowing ailment that she’s had in the last few years? Seriously.)
