Dear Japan, I Would Like My Website Back...

Back in the day, before it was even really a functional requirement, Peggy Jean's had a website.  Eventually, customers were even able to order off the website and ship pies nationally.  We were ahead of our time, I'm telling you. Now that we are working on Peggy Jean's V. 2.0, I immediately hit the Interwebs to reclaim our virtual space and you guessed it, someone has snatched up our URL.  And that someone is Japanese:

And while I've never been to Japan and could be wrong, my instincts tell me that there isn't a sweet Japanese woman selling apple pies to the masses over there.  I could probably find out for sure, but because I don't know how to call Japan or what to say if I did, I took the path of least resistance (you will notice this is a trend with me) and we secured a new website.  I'm not going to tell you what it is yet, because there is nothing there but an "under construction" sign and a lot of unfilled dreams.  When I'm ready to share, Japan will be the last to know though...

In other Peggy Jean's pies news, we have a new architect that doesn't cost bazillions of dollars.  The new architect is claiming he can do the job for less than 1% of the firm we talked to on Friday.  Which makes sense, because once again, we are talking about A 1,000 SQUARE FOOT BOX WITH NO WALLS.  I'm going to go out on a limb here and claim common sense to be the winner of this battle, but remain wary until we sign something official.

Next up this afternoon:  meeting with our food broker.  Who was our old food broker.  She answers her phone "Happy Day!" and I'm not sure how you can't like that.  Until she tells us that the price of sugar, flour, butter, cherries, apples, and peaches have all increased 300% since 2006 and due to government shut down, oil costs, and Saturn in alignment with Jupiter, expect another 15% increase by the end of the year.  Just kidding.  Sorta.  We will keep you posted.
