To The Mothership

Yesterday, the publisher of Inside Columbia magazine - Fred Parry - invited me to stop by his office this morning to chat about about Peggy Jean's return.  For those who aren't in the immediate Columbia, Missouri area, this experience is akin to being called to the mothership.  Inside Columbia (http://www.insidecolumbia.net/) is THE resource for all things Columbia.  The magazine is deliciously thick and glossy, with killer photography, inspired writing, and always the best news about what is going on in Columbia.  In short, this was me in Fred's office:

Fred and his wife, Melody Parry, have been long time supporters of Peggy Jean's and together we were able to brainstorm some AHHH-MAZZ-INNG ways to promote the Kickstarter campaign.  The magazine has several e-newsletters that you can subscribe to and one of those is "CoMo Eats".  While we were meeting, a new edition of CoMoEats was sent to subscribers with the lead story as "Peggy Jean's Pies Might Return" with a direct link to our Kickstarter campaign.  SO. EXCITING.

The result has been nothing short of completely awesome.  We gained ELEVEN new backers today who collectively donated $810.  Y'all...I am completely humbled and amazed by the support we are receiving from people all over the United States.  We are now officially 15% funded!  I would make you a really fancy graph to look at like Kickstarter does for me, but here is the extent of my graph-making skills:

We have some exciting things in partnership with Inside Columbia coming your way.  We are working out the details, but I promise you, it is going to be fabulous.

We can't do this without you, pie lovers.  We need you to make this idea of ours a reality.  If you haven't already, please visit http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1576929042/bring-back-peggy-jeans?ref=live and consider backing us with even a dollar.
