On The Last Day of 2014...
I'm popping in from our Team PJP vacation because honestly, we both know by now that I can't let a milestone pass without a word or two. Or 600. So, New Year's Eve.
New Year's Eve hits me in my melancholy heart every year. The reminder that time marches on makes me well up tears, even if I'm offered champagne and a sparkly hat at the strike of midnight. And when I think about everything that has happened in 2014, what a big year it was indeed, I'm humbled by it all.
It is fair to say that in the past 365 days, Jeanne and I have completely turned our lives upside down. We took it, flipped it, and shook it like we expected spare change to come out. And we didn't do it alone...we took our husbands, my children, our extended families, and our close friends on our script-flipping journey with us. And miraculously, those people still love us 365 days later, even when nothing is the same as it was 8,760 hours ago. At least I think they do.
And so, as always, thank you. Thanks for becoming our friends this year. Thanks for hanging with us through the thick and thin of 2014. Thanks for making us excited for 2015. We resolve World Pie Domination...and we don't do it unless you come along with us...
