For the last month or so, we've been in talks with a Major Magazine to feature our Jelly Jar pies in an upcoming issue.  We've mailed pies.  We've mailed pictures.  We've considered just getting on a plane and pleading our case on the 57th floor of a nondescript Manhattan office building.  We've named the entire project MajorMagazineWatch2k15. And if you've been around the blog for any time now, you likely know that patience is NOT MY STRONG SUIT.  With each email and UPS mailing from us to Major Magazine, I've worked myself into a veritable tizzy of emotions.  With every turn of events, I've stewed and analyzed and basically made every person in my Inner Circle get on my roller coaster of "WHAT IF?!?!?!?!" for hours.  (A journalism student affectionately called my Inner Circle my "Panic Posse" and I couldn't agree more...).

As the days of the last month ticked by, I've let my mind run wild while Jeanne has been exceptionally more zen about it all.  Never are the differences between us more apparent than in the past few weeks wherein I regularly considered a Xanax prescription and Jeanne simply said that whatever will be...well, will be.  HMPF.

For sanity's sake, I decided to email Major Magazine this afternoon and ask for any updates on the possible publication.  And the response that came back has left me unsure whether to be happy or sad:  "We loved the pies but we are going to save them for another month.  We will keep you posted."

Gah.

I replied with a 100% professional and chipper response alluding to our continued excitement and willingness to work together.  I really wanted to respond "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?  HELP ME PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHETHER I SHOULD BE CRYING OR BUYING CHAMPAGNE."  But let's keep that between you and me.

In short, it could be Major Magazine speak for "thanks, but no thanks" or could be Major Magazine speak for "hold on, sister, you are getting a way better month".  And there isn't a damn thing I can do about it either way...except wait.  Which we've already established I'm not good at doing.

So now we are all on MajorMagazineWatch2k15 and there is no end in sight.  On the regular, you might have to stop by and remind me to stop vacillating between all the possibilities and just BAKE THE PIES ALREADY.  Thanks in advance...
