Sick Day Surprise...

It seems that everyone I know has suffered from some beast of a head cold over the past few weeks.  And now I have it.  Give it a few days and I suspect both of my kids will have it and probably Jeanne too. EVERYBODY GETS A HEAD COLD!

It's like the worst episode of Oprah's Favorite Things ever.

But the good news is that I've been laying low from PJP Buttonwood to convalesce and I'm only 10 episodes from finishing The Office.  Also, I laid on the couch at 1:30 in the afternoon and read the entire issue of the latest People magazine, which hasn't happened since late 2013-ish.

I did swaddle myself in a blanket this afternoon to retrieve the mail (just from the end of my driveway, lest you think I travelled far for it).  I knew a whole heap of tax and payroll forms were in transit from our new payroll company for my review and signature...and what pairs better with general malaise...except taxes?  In the mail, there was also a box addressed to me but I didn't recognize the return address.  When I opened the box, I found this...

Which looks like a pretty great read, except I didn't order it.  And then I wondered if someone was trying to send me a helpful hint.  But then I remembered that late last summer, I was contacted to contribute the PJP experience to a future publication.  And behold, here's the PJP story that I wrote, starting on Page 27...

The story continues on to the following pages and then the chapter rounds out with a number of financial spreadsheets that I had zero part in creating.  Obviously.

I didn't know that it would become a legit thing because I didn't hear back from the publisher.  Or that it would actually be for sale on Amazon.  Pretty great sick day surprise...
