15 Days...
Well, for anyone keeping track, we are just 15 days away from Thanksgiving. Which basically means that if you cut me, I'd bleed iced coffee and Excedrin Tension headache gel tabs. Just kidding. Sorta.
So it won't surprise you that I don't have a ton of news to report, except that we are making a lot of pies and the amount of data that I have in my head about Thanksgiving orders is astounding. Here are a few other things...
- Unless we completely go off the rails next week, we anticipate closing the online Thanksgiving ordering system at midnight on Saturday, November 18th. Or when we reach 1,000 pies on order...whichever happens first. Each morning, I do a count of orders because I'm in charge.
- And because I'm neurotic.
- The New York Observer included our Jelly Jar pies in a fun gift guide for displaced southern belles. We were completely honored to be included, namely because it feels very fancy to be in something with "New York" in the title.
- Byler Media sent over our Kickstarter video and despite my tendency to be hypercritical of myself on video, IT IS AWESOME. The short list of people who have seen it have laughed out loud while watching it, so all the fun we had making it really shines through. I've created a rough draft of the written campaign and called in some graphics help from Gillian Tracey, so we are making progress to a potential launch next week. Gulp.
- And speaking of Gillian, she worked her magic on our pie baking instructions...just before we roll out a few hundred frozen pies in the next week or so. These beautiful cards are miles from the janky Avery labels our early PJP selves would have relied on, so let's toast to entrepreneurial maturity...and to Gillian, for making us look like the best version of ourselves...
