Big Tuna

Not surprisingly, we are rolling into early stages of a full-scale Thanksgiving panic around PJP. And there isn’t a darn thing we can do about it except overthink…and order a lot of supplies. So here is a catch up before we delve deep into Thanksgiving and I forget all this:

  1. In super exciting news, our beloved Emily from Sugarberry Blooms has agreed to do a holiday pop-up at PJP Nifong on Small Business Saturday - November 30th. If you haven’t seen how beautiful Emily can make your home at the holidays, then you must stop by to see her holiday wreaths, swags, and bundles that she will have available for purchase.

  2. We participated in a pop-up shop at the State Historical Society of Missouri on Saturday and it was a delight. Madeline went and ran the booth, reporting back with strong sales of tarts, a beautiful location, and apparently, delicious coffee readily available for only $2.

  3. In case you missed it on Facebook and Instagram, the sliding doors on our merchandising cooler were FINALLY repaired. The repairman said he had never felt so validated in his life based on our reactions to his repairs. I will never take easily rolling doors for granted again.

  4. Oh, and in case you missed it on Instastories, we rolled right over 7,000 likes on Facebook this weekend. You all really are the best.

  5. And finally, here is a twist for you - today someone stopped by and asked an afternoon person to give a package to the owner. It was a Home Depot bag with a ziplock inside of it containing a…very large, very bloody, very cold tuna steak. We are completely flummoxed by the tuna steak and can’t decide if it is a gift or if someone came to the wrong store and somewhere out there, someone else is totally irritated that their tuna steak never arrived. If a baked potato shows up tomorrow, I’m going to be a little freaked out.
