Help Us Choose
Earlier today, a landlord maintenance crew worked on refreshing the painted parking lines at Nifong. And I only mention it because I’m sure the assessment in January will be at least $17,592 for this morning’s 45 minute work. Add that to the painting from two weeks ago and we should be around $35,963 in miscellaneous painting charges next year and we aren’t even finished with October just yet.
But whatever. Here’s what else is going on:
We announced two fun October Epic Pie Tasting Events today - one is our traditional Epic Pie Tasting and it will be the last of the year. The other is a Pumpkin Palooza. We are taking the idea of pumpkin and making it in six different ways. If you are a pumpkin fan, we promise this will be super fun. (And if you hate pumpkin, this definitely isn’t the event for you.). Tickets sold quickly all afternoon, so don’t delay if either interests you. You can purchase tickets for either location here.
I’ve been laying awake at night worrying about all sorts of things that I can’t control. It’s really charming. The Small Business Administration should offer small business advice, loans, and Xanax. Follow me for more marketing tips.
Almost every single day at the same time, the phone rings at PJP Nifong and no one is on the other end of the line. I often wonder about it though because WHO IS IT? I always wonder if is someone just checking on us because that would be nice, but it is probably someone in a call center on the other side of the world with a bad phone connection wanting us to buy a website listing.
I don’t know what a website listing is exactly, but we get a call at least every other day offering to sell us one. Someone should make a documentary about the success rate of these phone calls because I’m guessing it is around 1%. Does the Small Business Administration get involved in these calls?
And finally, Ellery and Jessi spent a good part of today working on ideas for Halloween themed tarts. They are so very cute and I can’t take a single bit of credit. We are working on the idea of selling the four or five most popular flavors in a box for Halloween. Elle posted stories on Instagram allowing you to vote, so be sure to weigh in. The creativity astounds me and I literally can’t even narrow down my favorites.
