Jeanne-ology: I Told You So.
It’s already Thursday and this week has been a whirlwind at PJP. Enjoy Jeanne’s thoughts on all the interesting things happening this week! — Rebecca

Hello Thursday readers! The pie shop has been busy and gearing up for Leap Day. To those that haven't been on our Facebook page, we are celebrating by offering 2,020 tarts for $2.29 each. We are excited! We will bake so many flavors of tarts, whew! At such a great price, our customers can try out new flavors without purchasing a larger pie. We look forward to everyone coming in and stocking up. This event will not happen again for four years! (Rebecca editing to add: I think we will come out a bit extra at around 2,100 tarts because we are overachievers by nature.)
Believe it or not, I have not been baking! I am at the PJP every day and spend my time observing the assembly of our pies and giving advice when needed. I am surprised that I enjoy this. Usually, in the past, I have felt that if I wasn't making every pie we offer, then why would I be at the shop? Rebecca has tried for a long time to convince me that I didn't need to make every pie or do the dishes every day. Instead, I should focus on teaching and guidance. After a few years of hearing this, I agree. I am much happier working in this area. Sometimes you can teach an old dog new tricks! This has allowed me more time to spend on planning on new recipes and coming up with new ideas to help PJP grow. (Rebecca editing to add: I told you so. Seriously. I TOLD YOU SO.)
One of our merchandise suppliers called this week to say that if we wanted to order holiday merchandise, then we need to have that order in by tomorrow. The reason? Coronavirus! My understanding is that factories are running low on supplies and inventory is low. I didn't realize how much the scare of Coronavirus might affect a small business. (Rebecca editing to add: CORONAVIRUS STRESSES ME OUT. That is all.)
Other things on my mind? Rebecca and I will be announcing some good news that came our way this week. We are giddy with excitement. I will let Rebecca announce the news because she is the one that created the situation for the news to happen. Rebecca is outstanding on social media and makes us more money with her computer than baking! Her talents run deep and I am always surprised with her marketing skills. (Rebecca editing to add: I would argue that I’m average. But the news we are going to share next week is definitely not average.)
We make a great team and I am proud of us. Hard work, long hours, and a lot of back and forth between us. At the end of the day, we know we have each others backs and the love we share will keep us going on. (Rebecca editing to add: She’s definitely not wrong.)
