I Try.
It’s time again to take a deep dive into our Google analytics to see which keyword searches landed visitors on the World Pie Domination blog site. As always, the results never fail to disappoint:
Peggy Jean’s Pies Crime Scene Kitchen: Not surprisingly, we gained a ton of new visitors after our television debut. And I guess the average reader would have read our chronicles here and been completely unsurprised after watching us on television.
Gable Box: We used gable boxes to package tarts and cookies for the drive thru holiday light show at VU last December. After assembling a few thousand gable boxes, NEVER AGAIN. If we are lucky enough to be invited by VU to participate again this year, I’ll literally deliver them to each car in any sort of box that isn’t hand assembled by Team PJP in the middle of the night.
What Does Water Pie Taste Like?: Exactly what you would guess - water. And sadness.
How Do You Spell Gallon?: As anyone who has ever worked here will tell you, I have a very big thing about spelling. That these people searched for the correct spelling before writing it as “galloon” makes my heart warm. Ask Team PJP how it goes over when they write “galloon” on something they leave for my review.
Girl Boss Blog: The term “girl boss” should be removed from our lexicon. Until we refer to men as “boy boss”, I’m not here for it.
Rebecca and Jean Pie Shop: Can you believe it was just the two of us in the earliest days? Of course, we produced significantly less than we do now…but still. That said, there is a significant list of individuals that make this place as special as it is today.
Tech Guru Blog: I can’t even begin to tell you what Jason has accomplished here since joining us full-time. He literally just handed me a report from the pie tasting survey results and it has rankings and color codes relating to feedback popularity, which is significant from my prior method of guessing what people liked.
YesChef v Masterclass: We are working on a YouTube channel for Jean to share her baking tips and you’ll be able to watch for free. Though I bet the world’s best chefs on YesChef don’t offer commentary like “recipes lie”.
Funny Blogs To Read: I try.
Kentucky Fried Chicken Pot Pie: Oh. I just googled what is involved in a pot pie from KFC and there are SEVENTY ONE ingredients listed. My favorite was “Chicken Pot Pie Flavor” featuring hydrolyzed corn, soy and wheat gluten protein, salt, vegetable stock, maltodextrin, dextrose, and chicken broth. Woof. There are SIX ingredients in our pot pie - chicken, peas, carrots, onion, flour, and chicken stock. Though, we don’t offer to enhance the meal with six Kentucky fried wings and a cookie, so I guess it evens out in the long run.
