Jeanne-ology: Not Normal
It’s Thursday and after a crazy week at PJP, I really didn’t expect Jeanne to send me a blog post tonight…but here we are and I AM IMPRESSED. Enjoy! Rebecca

Hello Thursday Readers! A cool day today, right down chilly, and I am ready for the warm air to return. I bet you are too! The last blog was a few days ago. I can understand why because Rebecca and I have been working on a project that is really hard.. We are like fish out of the water, floundering around for answers, and seeking knowledge. At the end of the day, we are mentally taxed. This project should be over soon, let's hope, and our schedule will return to normal. (Rebecca editing to add: It has been a weird week, FOR SURE. I spent all day thinking today was Friday and then realized it is only Thursday. Call me Jeanne.)
Speaking of not normal, let’s talk about my husband. Since he has come home from the hospital, he grazes all day long. He literally eats all day, from pound cake, to sandwiches, nuts, corn chips and dip, grapes, bananas, cantaloupe, ice cream, pop tarts, etc.. The list is endless. I am thankful his appetite is good, but I am starving to death! Before his surgery and hospital stay, our routine centered around an evening meal. Now, he is not very hungry and doesn't want an evening meal. I am not a grazer and I come home starving. I don't want to cook a meal for myself, so I find myself nibbling. Not very satisfying and I need to figure out how to satisfy both our food issues. (Rebecca editing to add: I suggested she could still eat dinner, but she doesn’t listen. She also spent two hours trying to order groceries online, but couldn’t figure it out and she never called me for help. GAH. Seriously.)
Today I made an order for a raisin cream pie. None of our staff wants to learn how to make a raisin pie because they think it is horrible, who would want to eat a raisin pie? I would, I think they are delicious, my favorite is sour cream raisin. My son-in-law feels the same. They are delicious and strong in iron. (Rebecca editing to add: Even so, NO THANKS.)
Feedback from our St. Patrick’s Day pie tasting event came is rolling in. A couple of the flavors received high marks, such as the Guinness Drunken Apple and the Bailey's Irish cream pie. We may make them again and sample them out to collect more feedback. If these get good reviews we may incorporate them into our pie schedule. The greatest perk for me was being able to bring home the Bailey's Irish Cream, there wasn't a lot of it left in the bottle, but I sure had a good night's sleep! (Rebecca editing to add: So, basically, she had Bailey’s for dinner. Fair.)
