PJP Gift Guide

We’ve reached that point between Thanksgiving and Christmas wherein everything feels a bit overwhelming at PJP, so let’s not even talk about it tonight. Rather, here’s a few things that Jeanne and I have fallen in love with this year that might be a hit with those on your holiday shopping list, so consider this a PJP Gift Guide. And as a side note, none of these companies know that we exist and we weren’t gifted any of these items…we just straight up love these items:

  1. Universal Yums Snack Box: Every month, this box arrives at my house and it is packed full of snacks from a different country. For example, last month we received a box of snacks from Spain and the previous month, it was Estonia. I’ll tell you know that this box is a solid 30 minutes of entertainment at our house for one low price. We’ve found some delicious snack items and some AWFUL snack items that result in a whole lot of laughing. (I’ll just say that I”m sure that Lithuania is a LOVELY destination, full of delightful people. Just dubious snack selections, for the Millers anyway.) That said, if you are looking for a fun activity for the whole family (even Jeanne comes over to try it all), start here.

  2. Dr. Brandt Needles No More: This eye cream for under eye bags is LEGIT. I’ve never needed a quality cream to erase the evidence of no sleep and anxiety more than I have in 2019. Dr. Brandt has been there for me. Now he just needs to sell it by the gallon.

  3. Nike Crop Leggings: Jeanne eschews leggings, but I DO NOT. Because if you are going to bake 200 pumpkin pies, your jeans are eventually going to get too much stretch and you are going to spend all day hitching them up. Ask me how I know. At any rate, these are my favorite Nike leggings ever and I wish I had seven pairs of them. I would wear them every single day with no shame.

  4. Ugg Slippers: I realize this is very basic and that many feel the Ugg boot ship has sailed, but these slippers are the best. Pricey, but no regrets.

  5. Airpods: Once you live the life of having your headphones without being attached to your phone, you’ll never look back. We all know I love a podcast with all my heart and now that I can walk around my house untethered and listen to all of my favs (The Popcast, This American Life, Heavyweight, and Invisibilia just to start) is a dream come true.

So there you go - apparently I’ve spent my year wearing leggings, listening to podcasts, sporting slippers, worrying about my under eye baggage, and enjoying foreign snacks.
