Thank Goodness
Well, thanks to the Internet or to general persistence, Jeanne is scheduled to see an osteomyelitis specialist on Thursday. THANK GOODNESS. Without question, cellulitis has been an ordeal and Jeanne’s patience is wearing thin, making her marginally (though justifiably) difficult. If I ever write a memoir, the working title is: Being The Only Child Of A Single Parent Is Garbage: A Selfish Collection of Short Stories About Me By Me.
But anyway, here’s what else is going on:
May Epic Pie Tasting Tickets are now available here. This would be a super fun way to kick off the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Jason worked through the results from the April tasting and found that S’mores was the winner. In second place was Coconut Strawberry and then Blueberry Pomegranate. In last place was an Old Fashioned, built off the idea of the Old Fashioned cocktail. Jason and I actually liked the Old Fashioned but we were clearly in the minority. That’s the fun of pie tasting.
We are working on a project to switch most of our recipes to measurements in grams. As we grow, we are learning that a single cup measurement is a fairly subjective standard. Restaurants and bakeries measuring in grams is pretty standard, but what’s not standard is me standing in front of a scale and weighing all the ingredients. I’m rarely precise in anything I do, so this is a journey. That’s the best word I can think of anyway.
Last night, I woke up in the middle of the night and worried about the economy. If you’ve ever read this and thought maybe you wanted to know me in real life, I’m really selling it with my memoir plans and my generalized anxiety.
And finally, this is has appeared in the back of Nifong. I have a lot of questions, but mainly, why a freezer?
