Jeanne-ology: Thank You
It’s Thursday and we were exceptionally busy at PJP today. Around 2:30, Jeanne mentioned she was happy she could go home and plop it down since she didn’t have to write the blog since it was Wednesday. Uhhhhh…imagine telling her today is actually Thursday? At any rate, here are her thoughts on this week! Rebecca

Hello Thursday Readers! Another week has passed, the weather is cooler, and I turned 67 on the 8th! (Rebecca editing to add: All true. Also, I will never announce my age on the Internet. EVER.)
One thing that made my birthday special was so many birthday wishes on Facebook! Thank you to each one of you for the warm wishes! I never knew so many people knew me! The comments kept coming all day long and I read every one of them. It reminded me of a guy on the news that was turning 100 and all he wanted was some birthday cards sent to him. The cards arrived by the thousands and he was in disbelief. I now understand how he felt. (Rebecca editing to add: Tears. That makes me happy to read.)
The second thing that I enjoyed so much was the dinner prepared by Rebecca. I wanted a salad and she went beyond the typical salad and it was a smorgasbord. My son-in-law grilled chicken to add to the salad. Of course the evening was fun, my son-in-law and grandson kept asking me how it felt to be 77? A lot of laughter and other jokes about birthdays. (Rebecca editing to add: She’s an easy guest - and we all straight up enjoyed that salad bar since they are a thing of the past unless you create one in your own house. Someone alert Pinterest.)
After dinner, we watched crime scenes clean ups ( two episodes) before we enjoyed my favorite cake. After the cake, they brought out my present. They asked me to close my eyes and my grandson brought in my present. When I opened my eyes, a huge brown box was in front of me. I wasn't sure what it was and when I opened it, I couldn't believe what they had bought me! The Bissell Crossover floor vacuum mop! I had been eyeing this on Amazon and it was hard to find because the Crossover has been flying off the shelves. This machine makes vacuuming and mopping such an easy job. I couldn't wait to give it try! (Rebecca editing to add: She breezed past the crime scene clean up thing, but we’ve been watching this company on TikTok and now they have a YouTube channel about cleaning up crime scenes and extreme hoarding. Suffice it to say, I couldn’t finish my cake after the things I saw.)
The weekends of cleaning will go much faster and easier for me. I feel a little guilty because this machine is expensive and I didn't expect Rebecca to spend so much on me. I said a little guilty because I accepted the gift with much joy. (Rebecca editing to add: I would say 2% guilty and 98% super excited to start vacuuming and mopping.)
I am thankful that I turned 67, because the alternative is not good. I am blessed to have a daughter and family that I love very much. Thank you for all the birthday wishes!
