Six Degrees. Or A Billion.

As it turns out, I was only at PJP Buttonwood for a few short hours this morning...just long enough to do a baking schedule, write a lot of checks for non-fun items, and answer a slew of emails.  And it all made PJP feel rather difficult in disposition...if that makes sense  Though, I suppose all people we love are fraught with annoying difficulties on occasion (self included) and so that PJP felt expensive and overwhelming today is just part of our relationship.  She's so worth it overall, even when I'm trying to figure out how we spend $230 a month to just have some Internet in our store. I left mid-morning to start the arduous process of moving all the breakable items in our current house to our new house, which has nothing to do with pies but everything to do with why I had a rare abbreviated PJP day.   And hey, did you know it is a billion or so degrees outside?  And that when you live in a house for almost 15 years, you accumulate a lot of stuff?  Between you and me, I just threw all the random non-matched Tupperware away because I didn't have it in my soul to try to match them up before packing.  And Goodwill is receiving a mass delivery of old towels, failed (but unopened) cross stitch kits from circa 1998 when I forayed into crafting, and my entire collection of Casual Corner's finest (their turtlenecks were what 1999 dreams were made of, right?).  Moment of silence for the Casual Corner.

...

All that said, I did check on PJP regularly.  (Though, they don't need me...Team PJP is just the best.)

Not long ago, one of PJP's loyal fans found himself looking for a new job.  He actually included "#WPD Ambassador" on his Community Involvement section of his resume...which is fair, as he has spent a few late nights making boxes for us and weighing dough and whatever else we need during busy times.  I promised him that I'd blog about it when he landed his new position since he is an Ambassador and all, and so, HERE WE ARE.  He accepted a position today with an awesome local company that is doing some really big things.  He was interviewed by wait for it, wait for it, wait for it...another blog reader.  Gah, I love when all my pie people collide and amazing new things happen.  Neither of them knew each other before, yet here we are, the Six Degrees of PJP.  (Or wait, what if we all are six degrees from Kevin Bacon too?).  I bet Kevin's wife never shopped at the Casual Corner, though...
