Cute Overload
Today was one of the slowest - and lowest sales days - we’ve had since our relocation to PJP Nifong. AWESOME. I would imagine COVID-19 jitters + unfamiliar mask policy + July in general = SLOW DAYS. And let’s all pretend like I’M FINE, IT’S FINE for the greater good of the Internet, but I feel like I’m driving an out of control bus and I’m just trying to keep it between the line. (And at 55 miles per hour, like Sandra Bullock would under Keanu Reeves’ watchful eye. Holla to those of you that caught the esoteric Speed reference.)
But in super fun news AND speaking of masks, we posted a picture of Team PJP last week all masked up in accordance with the new city ordinance. Quite a few people suggested in the comments that we have a PJP mask and while I agreed, I’m not your girl when it comes to creating custom fabric and sewing something. JUST SO NOT YOUR GIRL. But thankfully, I am surrounded by exceptional talent and creativity in Team PJP. When Summer, one of our morning bakers, asked if she could design a fabric with our logo and then make one for each person on Team PJP, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. HECK YES. YES, PLEASE. YES. YES. YES. ALL DAY EVERY DAY.
And then Summer sent me a picture today of the fabric - just three days after even suggesting the idea. I wasn’t even aware you could design a fabric and have it printed. I mean, were you? And then because she’s so sweet, she asked me what changes I had. NONE. It was the easiest answer I had to anything all day.
So now she just needs to sew like 25 masks and we will be a branded crew of bakers. That would take me a year, but I feel like Summer will have us looking like a cohesive unit by the end of the week. Until then, here’s a sneak peek. Prepare for cute overload:
