Don't Hate Me
The downside of January is that it feels SUPER slow, especially considering just a month ago I would have punched someone in the face for the opportunity to sleep in past 4 am. But the upside is that I’m more rested AND my email is full of reports from various vendors about how we faired in the past year. Here’s my favorite Top 10 search terms that led users to the World Pie Domination site:
Select Funding: A few years ago, I wrote a post about predatory lending practices for small businesses. Mainly, I was astounded at how many offers we received that allowed us to activate a card and have access to thousands of dollars with the small print caveat that the interest rate was 40%. Predatory lending to individuals is something heavily focused on by the state and federal legislatures, but mostly ignored in the reach to small businesses. We never used one, but were compelled in some of those earliest days. As a side note, Select Funding doesn’t mail me anything these days. Ahem.
Peggy Jean’s Pies: And you think that would be the most searched term, right?
Ecolab Dishwasher: Back in the early days, we had a tussle with Ecolab. As it turns out, if you refuse to purchase chemicals on a monthly basis that you don’t need and have a lot to say about it, you will leave a ginormous Internet footprint.
New Website Who Dis: We did get new websites in May 2018 and unveiling those sites was so much fun. I hope the other 32,998 people who searched this enjoyed the esoteric humor of the title as much as I did.
Bubba Gump: I have no idea. Once I went to a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant in 1997 or so. But I avoid talking about it because well, BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP COMPANY.
Oven Repair: That was a dark time in my life.
Best Baking Blogs: Unfortunately, we never really discuss baking here. But all the other things we discuss makes up for it. I hope.
World of Pie. WORLD PIE DOMINATION, that is.
Voodoo Economics: Bueller? Bueller?
I’m Sorry, I Can’t, Don’t Hate Me: Without question, the best episode of Sex In The City until the finale when Big comes to Paris to find Carrie. Also, something I say on a regular basis. Apparently, I’m not alone.
