Yes, Possibly

The true highlight of traveling to gift market each January is the subsequent few weeks after arriving home wherein UPS arrives almost daily with super cute retail to merchandise. The last few days have NOT disappointed. You can see in our deliveries that my daughter and I had fun, really thought through our brand, and stayed true to purchasing only the things that would make us stop in our tracks if we were out shopping in our store. And you can tell it by the amount of things we’ve brought home to add to our home. Ahem. (No one tell Behind-The-Scenes Jason…he rarely notices that sort of thing until a significant amount of time has passed and then I say “oh, that? We have had that forever.”)

Here’s the other weekly news:

  1. National Pie Day was a rousing success. Thanks to everyone who stopped by for $3 tarts on Saturday. Later this week, we have our first Epic Pie Tasting of 2021. It sold out in a hot minute and we’ve already crafted a fun menu.

  2. Oh, and we were asked a lot on Saturday about our plan for March 14th - the cultural acceptance of Pi(e) Day. As always, we will discount everything by $3.14. That is our tradition, so add it into your new planners with a fresh marker.

  3. We will do another Epic Pie Tasting in February, of course, but also have another fun idea: KIDS PIE TASTING. We had the idea way back in December when we were talking about kids and crazy flavors and so now the time has come. We are constructing an adorable theme called “Where The Wild Tarts Are”. For $24 each, your child (or children, or heck…even you), can pick up six tarts of just over the top super fun and sugary and kid friendly flavors. We will keep our youngest fans in mind as we create a menu around the theme and we will throw in some fun surprises as well. I’ll post a Facebook event tomorrow with the planned date and ticket purchasing details.

  4. Of course, February events will be pandemic style, including both events discussed above and likely any event we ever have again. And even if the pandemic is over, I managed to sell all the chairs we purchased for events and the last 21 of them went to a new home today to a tractor club. (I’m not sure what a tractor club is, but I’m totally here for the notion that 21 people can assemble safely and talk about tractors.)

  5. Though, that brings up the question of: HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN THE PANDEMIC IS OVER? Will we all get a mass notification text? I’m not suggesting it is an immediate worry since we are still right in the middle of this global health crisis, but it is a nice distracting thought. And if everyone’s phone alerted at the same, we would never forget where we were when we were declared pandemic-free. I feel like it won’t be that easy though.
